2009 Vendor Letter

 

Dear Festival Vendors and Organizations,

 

 The Beacon Sloop Club welcomes you to participate in our 2009 festival season.  

 

We hold several festivals each year to raise funds for our educational sailing vessel "TheWoody Guthrie",  to help build a community of environmentally and socially aware citizens,  and of course to have much fun and enjoy a relaxing day on the Hudson.

 

Vendors are welcome to set up any time after 9:00 AM, no early birds please.

All vendors must have their cars off the site by 11:00

 

Our festivals are free and open to the public from 12:00 to 5:00PM.  Our festivals take place rain or shine.  All Festivals will take place at the Beacon waterfront with the exception of the Strawberry Festival which will be held at Riverfront Park

 DATES:

FEES:   Free for Non-Profits Not Selling Merchandise

              $25 for Non-Profits Selling Merchandise

              $65 for Non-Profits Selling Food

              $50 for a 10x10 Booth for Craft and Other Merchandise

              $75 for a 10x20 Booth for Craft and Other Merchandise

              $125 for a 10x10 Food Booth


Space is limited so please respond early.   Our policy is first come, first served.  The Beacon Sloop Club reserves the right to refuse any vendor.   Vendors will need to supply all their tables, chairs, canopies, etc.  

 

Food vendors must obtain and display a Food Service Permit issued by Dutchess County NY.  The Beacon Sloop Club may require vendors to obtain and submit a certificate of insurance.   In keeping with our environmental mission we ask all  vendors to use earth friendly materials: paper, wood, or biodegradable utensils. Please no Styrofoam or plastic.  Possible sources of biodegradable food service items are Ecoproducts at www.ecoproducts.com or Stalk Market at www.stalkmarketproducts.com.  No generators.

 

To register please fill out the application on the following page and mail along with a check made payable to THE BEACON SLOOP CLUB  to Rosemary Thomas, P.O. 430, Hughsonville, NY 12537.  E-mail rmthomas99@yahoo.com  Tel: 845-463-4660    There is a $20 late fee if we do not receive your application and payment one week before the festival.  Directions and any other information can be seen on our website at www.Beaconsloopclub.org

I have read the above vendor letter and agree to its terms. 

I understand that vehicles will not be permitted on the park grounds after 11am.  I agree to remove all garbage from the grounds relating to my booth at the conclusion of the festival.  The Festival takes place rain or shine.  I understand that there are no refunds and that vendors assume all risk of loss or damage to persons or property and waive all claims against the Beacon Sloop Club or the City of BeaconVendors who do not abide by the Beacon Sloop Club policies, will not be invited to return for future festivals.
